I bought this book a couple of months ago and loved it. I can't say that I think Joker is gay, though...or straight. I think he just *is* and whoever he happens to fuck/lust over/assgrab, their gender is insubstantial. That being said, though, I do love this and DKR's portrayal of the Joker as some kind of demented drag queen.
