defenestration is a lovely word

So I've decided what I'm going to do with this whole weird feeling of being intimidated by my own fanfic. ::continues to boggle about that:: My muse is currently hiding in the corner with a blanket over her head. (You know, the one who's name doesn't start with "Sarah" XD) I'm coaxing her out with hot cocoa and beer (not mixed together) so she'll be back. Even if whips and chains become involved. (See? She's perking up already! ::laughs::)

At any rate...

I'm going to actually do something with my website, defenestrationproject.net.

I'm going to revamp the whole thing, and put my stories up there. I have them in a few places, so I think I'll make this the place for the "final" versions. Mre was wonderful and gave me beta-reading type feedback for A Flash by Any Other Name, and I haven't had time to go through and actually do anything with that. I'll do that now, then have it up there, and leave the actual LJ entry versions as-is. At least for now.

That process will take time, seeing as that thing was 426 pages long in the text file, and I haven't written anything but bare-bones HTML in a year and a day.

Now, where some of you come in.

I want to get permission from all of you wonderful people who did fanart to put it there, with all appropriate credits. So if you've done any, just let me know if I can, and any stipulations you may have, how exactly I should credit it, etc.

This could be cool. ::grin::

The Black Racer

This guy sprung in conversation up at the post I made today on Wally's encounter with the Black Flash...

I'm not big on the New Gods and all that. Darkseid is the best and all that, of course, but I'm more... modern terrestrially interested in the DCU, shall we say.

But I have a soft spot for rarely used, but incredibly powerful and significant characters. The Stranger being the biggest example of that, of course. But this guy... This guy is the Death of two worlds. Weird, totally alien, and absolutely great because of it.

Here he is, during the death of Darkseid's empire and the Earth... and Darkseid himself. Being weird and awesome.
