So I've been reading Justice Society of America (finally, I'm so lame) and it's pretty awesome. My favourite part? Starman. This panel's from #5.

JSA taught me why it's important to have at least one totally insane guy on every super-team. :D

My second favourite thing?

Liberty Belle & Hourman )

My short list of great married couples in the DCU got a little longer when I saw this page from JSA #1 for the first time. That pose, that look Jesse has, just says to me "Look what my big, strong boy can do." I love it. :D

Of course, there's tons more awesome in the series so far; I have to say I'm impressed with the consistent goodness of it. Especially for a book that's definitely focused more on characters than action.

A tale that Bruce spends the entirety of... well, in a bit of a bind. Jervis tries to call out the Batman to unveil his secret identity, but unfortunately, he's a little tied up. (I'll stop with the bondage puns now. Promise.)

Superman comes to the rescue and has to go to great lengths to convince Batgirl he's worth having around, and Robin is convinced he's the Red Baron. Good times are had by most everyone except Bruce and the guy Clark threatens to flatten with a passenger jet.

That's definitely an "I'm going to eviscerate you" look. And how great it is.

I totally had to go back to this issue after reading Detective Comics #841, which has an excellent Mad Hatter tale. Seriously, it's a great issue this week. :D

Remember--you're in Gotham. )

Even Robin & Batgirl think Bats is being a little weird-friendly with Big Blue. Being the DCAU, he's not required to grunt, "Yeah, now get out of my city." So it's all good. :D

::happy little fangirl sigh:: I love it when they get along.
