So if you read that last post, and were disappointed that there wasn't any cool sequences of Scott doing the escape artist bit... I'm making up for it.

Once the series restarted in 1977, without Kirby, it changed a lot. Starting at #20. First, the set up; Scott and Barda are recently married, living on New Genesis. Their honeymoon doesn't last long...









Granny kidnaps Barda, and Scott goes after her; the catch? He can't wear Mother Box into the building. So he's lost his big advantage, that was much used in the previous series; it's just his skill as an escape artist, and a few nifty tools secreted away.

And it's sexy as hell. XD











Then Scott fights Darkseid. Heh.

Scott, you sexy freak. Mmm, yes. Any contorsionist could have wriggled out of those chains. But could any contorsionist look as sexy as you do? ...I guess depends on the contorsionist. In any case, damn! He's adorable!

I want this comics! meeep! They are kind of.. over the top, and everyone in Apokilipse is kind of campy, but I love them. Crazies! Pretty! Barda! weee!

Also, nothing can stop the love between a man and his.. mother box. That was kind of crazy.

That was nothing. When Mother Box is talking to him and calls him "My darling boy," now that's weird. Oberon comments to that effect, when Scott gets a little weepy at one point.

They're so over the top, it's fabulous. Especially when Scott goes to fight Darkseid... with showbusiness! And fireworks! XD

Scott is so damn cool. ::laughs::
