First of all, I just wanted to throw out a link to anyone out there who may be Star Wars fans as well as comic book readers. Like that's so unusual, hah. Anyway, the first time I ever read slash? It was The Sith Academy and I thought it was the greatest thing. And that was back when it was first turning into a slash thing at all! Now it's like a monster and there's lots, so, fun!

The real point of this post is a little thing called the Federal Authority of Registered Meta-human's Meta-Human License application. We see a copy of one of these babies in Aztec the Ultimate Man #2. And apparently every super-powered super-hero on the good side of the law has one on file.

I just love some of his answers, too. :D

Do you seek a teenage sidekick? No thanks. )

What's the deal with that bit about teenage sidekicks and state recognized romances? Heh.

Totally spoilers for Justice League of America #1.

I have such a huge soft spot for evil versions of my favourite characters. Especially when they have totally bitchin' costumes.

When evil counterparts are so awesome it hurts... )

My investigations have given me no clues about who this person is. But I love him. Dearly.

::dances around::

Also: a nifty blog entry, Mister Miracle's Mad Opera: Taking Comic Lunacy to Another Level, which pretty much sums up my feelings on Scott & Barda, and Kirby's Fourth World in general.

The Lobo Paramilitary Christmas Special

Made by AFI films, with the best guy ever playing Lobo. I was pretty impressed by the whole thirteen-minute thing, being a fan of Dead Alive, Gwar's Phallus in Wonderland, and other low-budget gore flicks. The gore factor is actually surprisingly low, seeing as it's a freakin' Lobo movie.

If you don't like holidays, this is the movie for you. If you're particularly fond of Christmas or Easter... heh. You might be traumatized.

And, if you haven't seen this yet, The Amazing Screw-On Head, the animated series.

Plus, Hellboy 2 ftw.

And while we're on a Mignola squeefest, Mignola's Batman from Legends of the Dark Knight.
