Actually, that's pretty much the best part of Kirby's run on Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen, which changed from your standard Superman sidekick book to the twisted and awesome wacky drug trip that was Kirby's work at it's finest. Hee. Try to find logic here and fail.

I was typing up that story I wrote about Clark and Jimmy and was laughing so hard I scared the hell out of the cats and had to stop and read, and it was this. The cover to this is on the wall of the comic store I get my sublist from, and it gives me a giggle every time. I once tried to explain why I love Kirby to the guy who works there and got a lot of smile and nod.

Oh well. Can't win 'em all.

Jimmy Olsen #134: All the context that'll really help is that Jimmy and Supes have just met in neutral territory; Supes tries to warn them about danger being afoot, and Jimmy's gang responds by taking him out.

The Mountain of Judgement. ♥ One of my favourite bits of Kirby-tech.

And, from a softcore porno comic I forget the name of and isn't really worth remembering, panels that made the reading experience worth it. Contains boobies.

That big green bugger reminds me of the ghost train (http://www.hrgiger.com/ghost.htm) from Species, a sort of biomechanical juggernaut powering through the night and devouring everything in its path. Apparently Giger had much more of it planned than was included in the film.

I think Giger is 100% responsible for me being so into all this Kirbytech; I think his museum would look something like Darkseid's trophy room, should he have such a thing.

And I think he would.

Pirates! :D

The Moutain of Judgement looks pretty neat. However the Newsboy Legion and the Whiz Wagon, now that sounds real intimidating.
