on 2007-12-14 07:33 am (UTC)It's from Adventures of Superman Annual #9, from 1997. Back in the '90s, DC did a lot of themed annuals. '94 was Elseworlds, '95 was 'Year One' stuff, '96 was Legends of the Dead Earth. The theme for 1997 was "Pulp Heroes," which meant stuff archeologist adventurer (Indiana Jones) and cowboy-type stories. In one of the stories in the annual, Electric Supes goes to a poor Indian town to free them from some baddies who want to turn it into a casino (natch), and he wears an Electric Cowboy Hat with an Electic Badass Longcoat to do so.
