I've made a few disparaging remarks about Superman Adventures in the past; well, they're true. But. The Toonverse has that way of being awesome, you know.

So, what happens when a man who risks his life for fun on a daily basis meets up with a man dedicated to saving people from dangerous situations? This question is explored when Mister Miracle brings his show to Metropolis and chaos ensues. :D

The cover has pretty much nothing to do with the story, but what else is new?

My favourite part of this book (and when Scott comes to Metropolis a second time, I'll post that later, hehe) is that he's never mad at Clark for the times his act is ruined; Oberon does it for him. XD

Part of the story makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, but, I'll forgive it.

Okay, here's where the story has a wonky bit.

Barda is apparently still on Apokolips and still a Furie. Not only that, but Lashina doesn't seem at all pissed about her running off to save one of the bigger thorns in their evil God's side and Granny's most hated student; she looks a little worried, herself. What?

Anyway.

Hehahaha! ::giggles:: I love Scott. So much.

I don't know where any artist gets off making Barda shorter than Scott, but yeah. Oh well.

I've just been informed that the Deal or No Deal girls are about to be on wearing superhero costumes (my Mum knows what's important to update me on) so I really have to go see that. Hotness.

This is a side of Scott I hadn't known; the way he convinces Granny is very interesting - they know he's willing to put his life on the table.

True! His "you know I will" smile was great.

He also has a pelvis of titanium, because Barda can be very enthusiastic.

Hmm.. Scott looks really different from the JLU cartoon. Hehe, I think I like him more in the comics =P. And Barda's so cool! They're just so damn good together <3

There's definitely no beating Scott from comics; a few in particular. But playing up the performance angle is nice, too. :)

Scott & Barda are epically awesome.

Man, Lois and Clark are wearing some awesome outfits here. They only had like two or three each in the cartoon, due to animation restraints.

I always love to see Scott and Barda. Particularly Barda and her Battle Bikini.

Just had a thought: Barda was seen in the Justice League in Batman Beyond, set several decades after the Superman and JLU cartoons. She didn't seem to have aged much, so New Gods must be very long-lived. I know that goes with the whole "god" thing, but there's a difference between thinking it and seeing it.

Longevity is something I don't think I've seen brought up... but I can only imagine a touch of immortality would go with being a god, new or otherwise.

Also, there's some kind of relativity thing that happens with people that use a boom tube to travel between the Fourth World and the main-line DCU; if Scott and Barda had just flown or something, they'd actually be giants. And vice-versa. No idea if that's related.
