Hell To Pay!

shankieSo, I don't read much in the way of Marvel comics, as may be blatantly obvious by even a cursory scan of what's in this here journal. I am aware of them, however, at least the high points, and a buddy of mine is trying to get me into reading more by lending me a chunk of Joss Whedon's run of Astonishing X-Men.
I recently became aware of the Spider-Man story "One More Day" and my first thought was... "Wait a second... where have I heard that plotline before? I swear it was somewhere..." And about a week later I realized I knew exactly where I'd heard that plot before.
The Flash #127-#129, "Hell To Pay". In which Neron (who, lets face it, is basically Satan for all intents and purposes of most DC stories outside of Vertigo titles) resurrects the Rogues and gives them crazy power... only he keeps their souls, leading the powerful bodies to wreak way more havok on Keystone and the surrounding area than the Rogues themselves ever have (until Rogue War happens, anyway).
So Wally goes to Hell (just visiting) and strikes a familiar bargain with Neron.
Now, they aren't married yet, and the deal isn't forgetting they were ever together, so it is a bit different. Only, more sadistic in that Neron has Wally breaking it off himself.
Before this, Wally's love for Linda has literally saved his life more than once. But, up until they actually break it off... this argument sounds a lot like their usual fights.
Ouch. Low-blow. I'd break up with him for that last barb, too.
Oh you guys. It doesn't stay this way nearly as long as Peter Parker's dilemma, though...
Diana's like, "Fuck that shit, time for some bondage therapy!"
Because Diana's bondage therapy works every time.
So... I'm not the only one seeing a strange similarity for such a unique plot line, am I? Or is this not as unique as I'm thinking at is?

Diana and that rope. Come to think of it...didn't she put a miniaturized Atom in her..um...cleavage...in the animated show to take him for a ride? Kinky gal. *face palm* (But bet Atom had a big grin on his face during the off screen time.)
