Sneaking this in real quick! It's resurrection time!

Legion of Three Worlds is ongoing and all that, so spoilers behind the cut! But I think most people are distantly aware of this going on... or not. Anyway, this series is... big. I don't read Legion books much, but so far this has been pretty high on the entertainment value scale. Even if Brainy really should get a haircut... XD

And that was how #3 ends.

I gotta say... Emoboy Prime's terror after all the grandstanding and havoc of the previous issues had me giggling uncontrollably for like, two days now. All the time.

But wait! It gets better!

That's right: Bart's making fun of him, being cute with XS, and making Aladdin references. Win, win, win!

Yay! I totally read Flash: Rebirth first, so I was all worried Bart would be a big lump of emo all the time, but no! Just for that, apparently. I'll even buy that reasoning for it being that quick to get him back without questioning it, what the hell! Good times!

But wait! That's not all Brainy's up to in his fit of playing god!

I'M SUPERBOY, BITCH!

Yay!

And a good time was briefly had by all, until more cliffhanger of doom. But I'm really not going to try getting into the plot of this madness, except to say... Sodam Yat is still awesome.

Even with a stupid haircut.

Connor punching out Emoboy may sell this issue all on its own.

That said, Brainy looks disturbingly like a recolored Snape.

Yeah... him and Lightning Lad both have this "stringy long-haired beach bum" look that is just so... well, not what I think of when I think of the Legion.

I'm more than willing to overlook those "minor" details as long as we can have him back.

Who is that guy pictured in the little frame--looks like a red-haired Obiwan Kenobi? 0.0

(If you tell me that stunner is actually Bart before he got turned into a snubby-nosed, chubby-cheeked cherub, I'm going to murder the idiot who did this to him!) I'm old! I can't afford the decades waiting him to be restored to handsome-osity!

The little metal frame? With the beard? That's Starman, currently hanging out with the JSA. Starman's awesome because he's totally nuts. :D

Starman? (Puts away memories from the old sf movie and tv series.)

Nuts as in Plastic Man nuts? Because I really like that style of cashew (kinked/twisted humor)

...and she's off to do a Wiki search! *screech*

Wait.

I just found a comic book: Brave and the Bold's Hal Jordan and Barry Allen friendship stories. Enjoyed it immensely. Loved Jay Garrick as the original Flash. Barry (although that crew cut...ew...at least he grows it out in two of the stories.) A young Kid Flash and a jealous Allen. The only bad part was that Iris was shown as having been murdered in the last one. DC has got to be the cruelest SOB's in the literature industry!

Anyway, if anyone can recommend more great Flash titles other than Terminal Velocity and Stop Motion, I'd love it. I also saw that they expect to have the current Rebirth collection out in January. Hope I can sneak that home sometime.

He's pretty darn nuts... Well, here's a few panels from JSA to serve as an example...

Dude, Barry and Hal's Brave & The Bold book was awesome. Actually... I should post that one where Wally was "Kid Lantern" for a little while... that was a good time. :D

I just bought Blood Will Run and totally love it. I did before, but trades make for a good time. The art is great, the story's interesting, and Wally is a loveable putz and that's always great. I could make a detailed list if you want, but I'm kinda in love with that one right now. :D

Ha! Oh that was cute. And what's with the pink-ness of Supes? I shudder to think of the fate of the superhero who had been assigned to do the laundry that day. Too much bleach is bad for red spandex.

Blood Will Run...crap...that's the one with the ugly cover, isn't it? Why don't they pick prettier pics for the covers of these things? Gaah.

Oh, I also got Race Against Time, but haven't had a chance to read it yet...flashlight batteries died on me. (Yes, I'm doing the little kid thing and reading them in the dead of night with a blanket over my head. This is taking a second childhood too far, but there it is. ^_^

I chalk the pink-ness up to lighting, but I think the thing with the bleach and the pink would make for awesome in a story. XD

This one? (http://www.dccomics.com/dcu/comics/?cm=8746) I don't think that cover's ugly, Brian Bolland's art is win. :P

I totally was reading a Teen Titans comic in my bed with a flashlight the other night... not because I had to, though, because the light switch where I sleep is outside the door and I was being lazy. XD

That book is pretty good, too. It has some cute little Wally in flashback and that's always a bonus. :D

Yep...that cover disturbs me for some reason.

Anyway, I did manage to get Race Against Time. When got to Flash in Wallyworld, nearly laughed out loud. Didn't look like Walmart from what I saw. ;P That was hilarious. I absolutely loved where Wally admits that the whole Flash World and worship is too much even for his ego. roflmao. The bad part is that I both feel rotten for and want to kick John Fox in the head. Damn. Only half way done with it. May be able to finish it tomorrow if work permits.

I know I need Dead Heat to prelude this, but it's really good even without that.

Okay, this is worrisome. Just how many times does Wally get stuck in the SF that Linda could get so blase about it? The cartoon gave the impression that that was a BAD thing.

Oh. Ok, may be bad in comics too. Wow...Wally looks whomped in this scene with Fox.

Well... disturbing I'll give you. It's got a Flash cult in it, after all. Race Against Time pretty much does, too, now that I think of it... XD

Oh John Fox. One of the forgotten ones of the DCU. For me, anyway... He's kinda got good intentions, though. Mostly. And he's a whore.

I found this doing a 24hr search of Wally West via Google. Oh, poor Wally! His mind must be blown. Barry! The Quicks! Gaah--that cover art!

Sorry, this thing was shrinking down the comment window so that it was really hard to read the link I gave.
Anyway, I found another Rebirth 3 site that includes a second cover art pic--Barry being chased by Supes. Heh..Supes does not look happy.

Most creepy pic of the lot? That spectral mummy hand reaching up and trying to touch Wally while Wally is clearly wanting to touch Barry. Damn that gave me the goosebumps!

If they can't let Barry remain a speedster (and not Mr. Creepy Speedster either) then I hope they at least end up sending him back into SF paradise. I've gotten to like Barry (from reading the early trades) and if he gets shafted I'm going to be pissed.

Man, I keep finding more goodies.

The purported cover for Flash Rebirth #5...

http://speedforce.org/2009/05/flash-rebirth-5-cover-revealed/

I like the way they've changed an old cover featuring a Flash (Barry) rescue. Obviously, having the Black Flash loose is going to be even more of a disaster if the thing can go back in time and change Barry's history. 0.0!

(And here I thought this was going to be a boring night. ^^

I've totally been following the DCU Source thingie, it's just a good idea in general to see what those guys are up to. XD

The thing about the covers one that has me is Nemesis on the Cosmic Treadmill? Is that really what that's going to be? Also that stuff seems to be pointing at that mysterious figure guy being the Black Flash in the end.. reminds me of Cicada but who knows.

Okay, now you've lost me as have no idea who Cicada is..(have a real good understanding of cicadas, but as ugly bugs that sound like bad electrical wiring. heh)

You talking about the guy who was with Jesse before dear old dad broke through momentarily (and destroyed public property--way to go, Johnny! urgh) Or the dark figure in the background of the reworked Flash of Two Worlds cover? Because I'm pretty sure that the silhouette was of Jay after the converted/ing Barry-to-Black nightmare wear bashed him down before attacking Good Red Barry.

(Please to remember that Kyer has only been a Flash fanatic since November and is still a newbie as far as knowing a lot of these other guys prancing around in Bright Jammies. (Yes, and Dark Jammies. Mustn't forget Bats.)

Oh..do you happen to have posted any scans of a Justice League Animated comic named Season's Beatings? Apparently, it's a Flash & Batman one that might have given some insight on why Bats was willing to defend Wally on Flash & Substance episode.

When I get some time I'll post a little from that; I'm quite enamoured with the story right now. He's a Flash cult leader, basically. If he's in Rebirth it remains to be seen...

See, I so, but they're some of the few flocked things I have on here. SO you'd have to have an LJ account to see them, unfortunately.

Okay, I've read this post a few times before, but I just noticed something. In that first scan where Bart's saying 'Boo'? His eyes are blue. Am I the only one who noticed this? It took me a while, too, 'cuz I was distracted by 'OMG! BART!'. But, yeah. Bart does not have blue eyes.
