I'm not sure when, might not even be until the next story, but I'm totally writing copious allusions to Gotham Knights #24. When I read this, I couldn't help but wonder how it would have gone if Bruce was talking to someone besides Batman.

Bruce is so... batty.

It tickled me. So does Batman Beyond. Heh.

Actually, I know quite a lot of people who talk to themselves when no one's around. Sure, they're mainly relatives, and myself, but Batmans talking to himself is normal. At least I think so.

Anyway, I've just finished outlining image one, and I'm going to color it in after I get some sleep, or on my day off this Tuesday. The chibi Batman looks so fat...Oh! I was unsure as to what you had Wally wearing in chapter one, so those clothes I drew for him were okay, right? Would you like them to be certain colors, or does that not matter?

Bruce manages to take talking to himself to a whole new Two-Face-style level, heh.

The clothes are fine, I like blue (but you know, whatever works), and I can't wait. ;)

Blue? Cool. I don't know why I keep picturing him with a closet full of dark green shirts though. Will a light blue work for you? Sorta like sky blue?

How have you been lately?

Sure. Or you could do dark green, after all, it'd bring out the colour of his eyes... hehe

I'm... alright.

That reminds me, have you come up with a logo to put on these images? Or would you be okay with me putting 'A Flash by Any Other Name,' on the bottom right corner, with 'Written by: Victoria Wayne,' below the fic's title?

Hm... I totally forgot about that. Um... Yes! I'll go with that answer, heh.

And uh, yeah. Something happened. I wrote about it a few entries back.

Ah, I remember reading that post. I didn't know what to say, which was why I hadn't commented about it. I haven't lost a close friend or family member yet. So I couldn't understand quite what you were feeling. Though it could happen any day now, with my sister stationed in Iraq. I'm sure she'll come back home alive though, and make my life a living hell again!

Goes to show we need to appreciate all the time we have now, b/c it could end at any given moment.

Dick: Aw, that was so meaningful. *hugs her* I'm so proud.
Wachey: Can I have more chicken now?
Dick: ...! *lets go* You just had to ruin it.

Iraq? Rough. I had a good friend there for a while... man that was nerve-wracking.

And what do you mean 'alright?' Did something happen?

I love Batman Beyond--I just got season 1 on Saturday. Do you happen to dig Bruce/Terry? *hopeful*

Can't say I do, really. It's one of the pairings I don't "get", for lack of a better way to explain it. I've never really put Terry with anyone, to be honest, except the canon thing with what's-her-name and the Atlantean chick.

Aw, damn. *sigh* Does nobody else have the creepy old man/angry young boy kink abymore?

Heh. I think my love stems from not needing much to back anything up. I've never really had a need for subtext in my slashing. My motto is that anything is plausible if you tilt your head and squint at it the right way. And I'm way flexible with who I gay up--I got myself into trouble like that with the first beta reader I ever had, I thought everyone was like that. Boy, was I wrongwrongwrong and was she ever pissed. x.x

She ranted in her blog about how you ABSOLUTELY CANNOT TAKE character A from pairing 1 and gay him up with character B from pairing 2. Which I didn't get at all, yo. The gay wasn't canon but the incest was (it was the gods from Xena and Hercules) so I didn't really see the problem with it, you know? I felt so bad though. I was in the height of my teen angst and created this guy to back me up and make me feel better who was an awful lot like character B and abandoned the fandom. I mean, there wasn't much in it for me if I wasn't going to write in it--whole lot of MPreg, my Wun Twu Squick, and AUs placing the characters in high school having sex in front of their friends because they have very limited time together.

Actually, that was kind of hot if totally OOC. Which makes me feel so pervy now that I'm 18, but I was around the characters' ages at the time.

Now it cracks me up, but at the time it just felt like a gunshot to the gut you know? I used to (and I guess I still do to a less extent) just assume that everyone was like me. It was kind of a hard lesson to learn. o.0
