Mirror Master

Just before Rogue War happened and everything went to hell fabulously, The Flash had some issues that would focus on a single character in the Flash rogue's gallery. Along with awesome art, Mirror Master has an incredible back story. Incredibly what, exactly, is debatable.

Attempted rape between children, murder, suicide, drug use, and occasional monologuing. A lot of scans, very little Flash. Which is cool, because when he does show up, it's in a very different light. I like that kind of effect.

But if it makes you feel better, from the looks of it, he hadn't been doing coke for long. Maybe a couple times, tops.

Also, Len kicks his ass over it in the next issue. That definitely makes me feel better. Although showing a criminal doing drugs, like criminals, very frequently, really do? I can't say I can argue with that.

I don't think I mention enough just how much I love Len. He's a villain. He tried being good once; it didn't work for him. He knows what he wants, and he knows what's up. When he speaks, people listen. Even Wally, on a number of occasions.

JLA: Classified #26

This series has the occasional story lines that I just love; and this is shaping up to be one of them.

The League discusses terrorism, interfering in world politics... and Arthur makes it clear how he feels. And what's this? Clark shushing Bruce? XD

Some very cool things happening in this art, especially the green effects for Kyle's ring.

What to do? Go forward with the plan, anyway, of course. But to the rest of the world, the JLA can never be there.

Bruce being Batman without a uniform... oh man. Never gets old.

JLA: Classified #27, second of the Secret History... storyline comes out tomorrow. I, for one, can't wait.

I'm a real sucker for the whole covert superheroes thing, can't you tell? And despite the strong political tones of this story, it's shaping up to be interesting.
