Way back in The Flash #32, Wally is hanging out with Mason Trollbridge and Hartley Rathaway all the time. They have all sorts of misadventures with all their friends, presently gone to visit Joan Garrick at the same time The Turtle is totally stalking Wally. Video cameras everywhere, trying to kill him, you know.

Hartley's father gets in trouble with some mobsters and the Turtle wants Wally dead, nice and slow, so they both get captured by Bad Guys. Um, it was hard for me to follow what was really going on in this one.

The point is, Wally gets dangled upside-down from a ceiling. And as far as I can tell, that really was the whole meaning for this story to exist at all.

This whole 'Turtle captures Wally' thing happens a few times. This is actually the most pleasant, believe it or not.

'What if he breaks loose?' 'He can't.' )

And then Piper shows up with Joan, who's Jay's widow at the time. Wally calls her "Mrs. G" and that is so cute. :D

But the generic creepy-evil bad guys being generically shocking? Meh. They did have to put up quite a fight to subdue Wally, I'll give them that.

Also, if you're thinking that's Barry's costume? It is. Wally hasn't redesigned his own yet.

I just took a screenshot because I think it's just so nice looking, and all the pretty in my text files never really ends up on this when I post fic. [livejournal.com profile] wachey's all at fault for the work in progress, btw, heh. For reminding me about the yaoi that might as well be Bruce/Wally. I think that's the title I'm going to go with, too. "A Beautiful Misunderstanding?" XD

A Simple Misunderstanding

The big swirly font is Zapfino, and the regular text is Cochin. Pretty!

Also, the word processor I use is Bean; I'm on a Mac, don'tchaknow, and the only other one I really liked was Pages, but that's expensive, and Bean is free. :)
