This next chapter wasn't intentional. It started out going to be one thing and ended up another, an experiment that ended up being taken over by all kinds of other characters pulling for screentime, and before I knew it, I'd hit the last line.

It's another that might need a little clarification for some, who are reading and not as familiar with DC. ::looks at all two of you:: Plus a definition and some comments.

"Romantic irony" is defined here at Wiki.

FedLex is an actual parcel service in the DCU; the obvious counterpart to FexEx. Get it? ha-ha.

Matches Malone and Eel are buddies in the Diniverse, as you may recall. A post from a little while back about Matches & Eel, and, in JLA and in comics canon in general, if you're not familiar with it, Eel O'Brian became Plastic Man. Also, he knows that Batman is Matches; found out when Bruce went to ask him to join the League in his own special way. (Threatening to light his head on fire.)

Diniverse had just Ralph. I wanted the challenge of writing Plas and his wacky dialogue.

The Creeper was introduced in Batman: The Animated Series, and joined (kinda) the Toonverse comics canon Justice League in Justice League Unlimited #10. He's also mentioned in a recent Batman comic as still operating out of Gotham City, at least to an extent. He's crazy, who knows.

Thanks for that. I was totally lost on the Eel thing. :/

Aw. Well, I'm glad I cleared it up then. :)
