In Action Comics #593, from just after Crisis on Infinite Earths. I was able to find some of the ink work from this issue from John Byrne's gallery.

I have all of Byrne's Man of Steel in TPB, so I haven't been reading any of the old Action Comics, and I believe that was now a mistake, haha. Been gettin' everything so far... well, except for when I tell you, heh.
