I've mentioned this in a comment before... but I've always wanted Wally & Bart's relationship to be different than it was in the comics. Wally being a flake, having little faith in Bart's ability to become a true hero in his own right... all of it prompting Bart into a kind of competition with him as he became Kid Flash. They still hang out sometimes, care about each other and all...
But it just seemed like it could have gone better. I dunno. Maybe it was a good thing that Max ended up taking him in; Max definitely has his head screwed on tight and made a great counter. I get that the authors of The Flash were worried about adding another character to an already emotionally heady bit in the series.
My brain doesn't have those limitations. :D
