Dear DC:
That was the lamest death sequence I've ever seen. It had all the emotional impact of killing off a redshirt.
I have mixed feelings about someone's last words being a zombie joke, too.
None of this means, of course, that the outrageous sums of money I throw at you will be getting much smaller. I'm starting to think this relationship is an abusive one; you just keep hurting me, and I keep coming back for more.

ETA: I'm a little obsessed with this, and have a sneaking suspicion it's second only to my short story about a ceremonial magician's daughter in the running for my personal favourites among my own work. I think I need to write more and think less.
ETA2: I want to make sweet, passionate love to the Midnighter. If only we weren't both gay...
