This was, by far, my favourite issue in this run to date. I'm sure the appearance of the costume had something to do with that. And everything I just babbled about. XD

Wally Turns Twenty

...and becomes the Flash.

Scans from The Flash #1, from way back in 1987. Wally's living in New York, his powers aren't what they used to be, he has no secret identity, and there's a few very similar themes to what Bart's now going through.

Except, of course, that his first villain is way cooler. And the art suffers from being almost twenty years old.

Way different than the new Flash series? You betcha. But really... not so far off in a lot of ways, too.
