I have very little for you all right now; just a panel from the recent Teen Titans #74, the back pages story about Ravager.

I just like it is all.

Possibly the only book that contains a comic book translation of the animated Teen Titans that exists. But that's not the point. When writing two different kinds of kinky porn, then running across a panel like this...

...I can't help but think dirty thoughts.

This series is so friggin' cute. It's like everything I'd ever want from a revisit to the early Teen Titans days... well, kinda. Wonder Girl being gaga for some boy band and Garth being a nervous nelly every day of the week... well. I guess that just accentuates how young they are, right? Never thought I'd miss the Aqualad-fro.

There is, however, a great little Wally West coming out of this.

I don't have much to say right now, because according to my mother I'm sick in the head and possibly going to grow up to be a serial killer because I was watching Dexter and enjoying it.

::goes out and takes a drive::

Alright, where were we?

Throner? )

And the moral of the story seemed to be that Alfred is the one who really knows what's up.

I enjoyed this more than Green Lantern this past week, which is weird and kinda telling. About which series, I'm not sure.

Anyway, don't take my word for it. 'Cause I'm craaaa-aaazy. ::rolls eyes::

I spent pretty much all weekend and Monday watching Justice League from "Secret Origins" to "Flash & Substance" and boy was that fun. More fun then usual, because my brother who knows nothing about comics wanted to see the first episode for kicks and was quickly addicted. The Cadmus storyline sealed the deal; not only did it make him say "I'm on the edge of my seat, yo!" but it was also then he realized the Flash is totally awesome. It's possible "Fifty-thousand rotten eggs! And a chainsaw!" will be something oft repeated between us now. XD

I got absolutely nothing done this weekend. But it was kinda like watching them for the first time all over again on my end, too, and that was pretty awesome.

Anyway!

[livejournal.com profile] enchanted_raven wanted to see this; just what happened between Kid Flash & Raven over the course of New Teen Titans.

That sums it up pretty well, but there's hugeness of more to be had. Approach with caution.

I will handle Kid Flash now. )

Dick: "Thank you for shutting them up, I'm really not in the mood for Wally's issues." XD

At the end there, Wally's actually dying from his powers wreaking havok with his body; he doesn't actually die (duh) and in fact is about to become the Flash. Which is another Vandal Savage-laced angstfest of it's own. The powers-angst overtakes the Raven-angst, and the whole relationship pretty much never comes up again, as far as I know.

His blonde girlfriend there grows up to be Magenta, a crazy super-villain that tries to kill him/kidnaps him repeatedly because he won't love her and stuff. Heh. It makes a lot more sense since I've read this series.

These were laying next to my scanner today, so I scanned them. XD

Firstly, Justice League Task Force #8, in which J'onn has become Joan, and struggles with his sexuality during his 'marriage', while Diana canonically admits to having sex with women. In so many words. (Totally updated the superheroes in drag list.)

For gods' sake, don't tell Batman! )

Then, Teen Titans #40, or the dark secret of Miss Martian! OoooOoooOooOOOoohh.

So dramatic.

That alien tramp! )

I'm tempted to be all wondering what's up with that, but I'm scared of being sadly disappointed by the answer.

I've been meaning to do this for a while. There are many Teen Titans stories that can be overlooked, but this one isn't one of them for me. And it's another dystopian future, surprise surprise.

Because Duela Dent was mentioned today, and I got to thinking about Rose, etc.

The Teen Titans are thrown into the future, and meet their counterparts, the grown-up Titans. Then everything goes south.

Starting off right in the thick of it... )
